GDPR Privacy Policy

Sub Aquatic Technical Systems Limited trading as SAT Systems, regard the security and privacy of your personal information as important. As a Manx company we comply with the Isle of Man GDPR legislation 2018, which is compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulations.

This document informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information (as defined below) in connection with our normal business activities.

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use your personal Information to provide you with information, specifications, quotations and technical assistance etc. that you have requested. By contacting us and entering into dialog, you agree to the collection and use of personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy for the sole purpose of business to business communications.

Information Collection and Use
We may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Such personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your business email address, your name and surname, business phone / fax numbers, business postal address, and IP address.

We collect this Personal Information for the purpose of providing our service to your business, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, servicing your purchase orders and statements.

Communications
We only use your Personal Information in relation to your business activities, to contact you with information you have requested or that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any or all communications from us by sending an email to gdpr@satsystems.co.uk requesting your information is removed from our files.

Compliance with Laws
We will only disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of the Service.

Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorised access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.

However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.

Location of Data
Your data is held on a secure in-house server located at our premises on the Isle of Man or as hard copy for use by Company employees to provide our services to you. Your data may be shared with other employees of SAT Systems at the same location to facilitate the services we provide.

Third Party Use
SAT Systems are the sole users of the personal information you have provided to us, we do not share, sell or make available to any third party, with the exception of and at the direct request of the Manx Court of Law.

Data Retention
We will keep your personal Information only as long as necessary to provide you with the Service and for legitimate and essential business purposes, such as maintaining the performance of the service, complying with our legal obligations, and resolving disputes.

Remember that even after you cancel your account, or if you ask us to delete your personal information, copies of some information from your account may remain, as it is not always possible to completely remove or delete all of your information due to technical constraints or, contractual, financial or legal requirements. 

GDPR and Personal Data of Individuals in the European Economic Area
From and after May 25, 2018, the provisions of this section apply to residents of the European Economic Area (“EEA”) when the Service is targeted to them in the course of their business: The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the new comprehensive data protection law that updates existing EU laws to strengthen the protection of “Personal Data” (any Personal Information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person) in light of rapid technological developments, the increasingly global nature of business and more complex international flows of personal data.

  • Right to Rectification – the right to request that we amend or update your Personal Data where it is inaccurate or incomplete;

  • Right to Restrict – the right to request that we temporarily or permanently stop processing all or some of your Personal Data;
  • Right to Object – The right, at any time, to object to us processing your Personal Data on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Right to Data Portability – the right to request a copy of your Personal Data in electronic format; and
  • Right not to be subject to Automated Decision Making – the right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated decision making, including profiling, where the decision would have a legal effect on you or produce a similarly significant effect.

We may need to collect and process the Personal Data in order to provide the Service to you or because we are legally required to do so. If you do not provide the information that we request, we may not be able to provide you with the Service. We only use the Personal Data for our legitimate business interests.

We keep your Personal Information only for as long as needed or permitted in light of the purpose(s) for which it was obtained. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include (i) for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide the Service to you; (ii) as required by a legal obligation to which we are subject; or (iii) as advisable in light of our legal position (such as in regard of applicable statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory investigations).

Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 25, 2018 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
